Three killed in California plane crash

Los Angeles - Three people were killed when a small plane crashed and disintegrated Wednesday at a Los Angeles airport, fire officials said.
The accident occurred Wednesday afternoon at the Hawthorne Airport, killing all three occupants of the aircraft, according to fire officials.
Witnesses told local TV stations that the plane, believed to be a Beechcraft G36, plunged nose first into a parking lot.
