Judge delays sentencing of Chris Brown
Aug 6, 2009, 0:24 GMT
Los Angeles - A judge on Wednesday delayed the sentencing of singer Chris Brown stemming from his assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna earlier in the year.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg rescheduled the sentencing hearing to August 29 to take more time to discuss with authorities in Brown's home state of Virginia whether he could perform community labour there.
Brown, 20, pleaded guilty in June to one felony count of assault stemming from his altercation with Rihanna following a party the day before the Grammy awards.
The plea deal calls for Brown to serve five years on probation and perform six months of community labour - a more demanding form of punishment than community service. The judge said at the time that she wanted Brown to perform roadside cleanup or graffiti removal.

Just some stupid girl who dares to think she shouldn't have to be beaten to a pulp?? It IS an important case.
Not to the right wing in this country. They do not think of a woman as an equal, so its OK beat them.
