Freezer cash ex-congressman convicted in US corruption case

Aug 6, 2009, 4:07 GMT

Washington - A jury on Wednesday found former congressman William Jefferson, in whose freezer police found a stash of cash, guilty of corruption charges.

In a trial held in federal court in Alexandria, Virginia, the Louisiana Democrat was found guilty of seeking and collecting bribes for his personal business interests in Africa.

In all, he was convicted on 11 of 16 counts.

In a 2005 FBI raid on his home, agents found 90,000 dollars in his freezer, wrapped in foil and hidden inside frozen food packaging.

up and throw away the key. No matter what side they come from, in this respect they are all the same. They were elected by the people, and if they get caught ripping off the people---to the cell my man...and stay there for a good while.

Tell me, how many congressmen and/or women do you think will get pinched with the current occupant of the white house in charge?

...really does not answer the question now, does it monkey boy?

No, MK, Bush, america's clean up boy, more interested in results than being liked, was willing to shoulder the ire of Congress to get crooked politicians, dem or republican ( look what he caught) and mindless libnazi automatons like you hate him for it. Libnazi bias, bigotry and hatred...on display.

We're the reformers, monkey boy. Now run along.

Really liar? Please send me to the link(s) that prove this humongous lie on your part. God you are always wrong, stupidity causes that.

'Tell me, how many congressmen and/or women do you think will get pinched with the current occupant of the white house in charge?'

Not too many left on your side to 'get pinched', but I hope no matter what side they are on the dirty ones get pinched.

Now why don't you learn how to tell the truth? I know your mother taught you better.

Not that I was the one that made that inane statement but I thought I would comment. Answering your lies is easy, just challenge you on them and you fade away. I have never saw you answer any of the requests for proof for any of the lies you tell. Now man up and try and tell the truth, I know it will be hard, but you will not look so stupid.

Three words describe 'Bush', failure, failure, failure. Now, just who did he catch??? Just what did he do that turned out good? Please let us know so we can all be as well informed as you are, but as I suspect just another lie.

'We're the reformers, monkey boy. Now run along.'

And I guess that anyone who does not agree with your lies is a 'monkey boy'? Much rather be a monkey boy than a bold faced liar.

Hey idiots stick, i guess you are happy that the system worked:

'The Senate ethics panel cleared Sens. Chris Dodd and Kent Conrad Friday of breaking rules by getting mortgages through a VIP program, but scolded them for not being more careful to avoid the appearance of sweetheart deals.'

I knoe 'sweetheart deals' don't bother you as Haliburton and all the other no-bid contract for sure looked like 'sweetheart deals'. No problems right? Except now you will lie for the next two years about these guys?

..the dem senate cleared Chris Dodd....classic!....even after he falsely reported on his properites values and took those values on his United States Tax return!

God, monkey boy, is your mind really THAT weak??

Halliburton??? Compared to the influence peddling going on RIGHT NOW i.e. countrywide's libnazi bithces like Dodd, Frank, Rangel, etc., they were a lemoinaide stand!

Rattner!

He is so far off the reservation Obama had to flush him i.e. the SEC sneaking up on a play-for-pay scheme he was operating in the privagte sector. He, of course, went on to try the same thing with GM car dealers that failed and now he's 'moving on'.

Yep, nothing new here. Please monkey boy, tell us you really do not swallow all of this hook line and sinker....
