Would-be assassin of US president Ford released from prison (Roundup)
Aug 14, 2009, 16:21 GMT
Washington - Lynette 'Squeaky' Fromme, convicted of trying to assassinate former US president Gerald Ford, was released Friday after spending 33 years in prison, a spokeswoman for the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed.
Fromme, 60, pointed a loaded gun at Ford during a California event in 1975. A secret service agent managed to wrestle Fromme to the floor before she was able to pull the trigger.
A devoted follower of the infamous serial murderer Charles Manson, Fromme has been unrepentant about her crime. She had been eligible for parole as early as 1985 but refused a hearing, preferring to remain behind bars.
She was released Friday morning from Carswell Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas, said spokeswoman Linda Thomas of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
Manson, who remains imprisoned in California, developed a cult following in the 1960s who became known as the 'Manson Family,' some of whom killed on his behalf. Manson was already serving a life sentence at the time of Fromme's assassination attempt.

She shouldn't have been released!
she was going after one of the more ignorant people in the US. She is headed to Oregon looking for SP4. He and his kind do not believe in democracy, only punishment.
..that the peckerwood jackass metrosexual,in the above post and the rest of the bleeding heart libnazi enablers would rather see other people killed as opposed to a responsible incarceration or humane execution, in order to protect the public welfare. They are never around to clean up the mess.
Squeaky got a trail, and her rights observed. Tell us professor, does a murder victim get a vote beforehand? Run and apply your extensive knowledge of democracy to that question, and be sure to get back to us on that.

Like I said sounds just like the Nazi's. Old stupid and wrong, just the way I like my conservatives.
and buy Squeaky a gun, bullets and a bus ticket to Oregon? It would be easy to find SP's cardboard hovel. It's the one with the biggest cloud of drug smoke hanging over it. SP4 is one squeeky wheel that needs greasing.
