Obama weighing second trip to climate summit
Dec 4, 2009, 19:48 GMT
Washington - US President Barack Obama is weighing the possibility of making a second trip to the climate change summit in Copenhagen this month, a senior aide said Friday.
The White House was discussing whether Obama should return for the final days of the conference December 17-18, when most heads of state will be present, national security adviser James Jones told reporters. No decisions have been made, he added.
Obama already plans to be in Copenhagen on Wednesday, just as the summit aiming to security an international pact on the reduction of greenhouse gases gets underway. Obama plans on being in Oslo to accept the Nobel Peace Prize on Thursday.
