Los Angeles - Sarah Palin is to follow her meteoric rise from a little-known Alaska governor to the Republican vice presidential candidate with the ultimate symbol of celebrity: She is getting her own reality TV show.
According to Variety Tuesday, Discovery Communications, which runs a string of channels on cable and satellite television, has bought a series called Sarah Palin's Alaska for more than 1 million dollars per episode.
Hosted by Palin, the series will give viewers a look at the characters, traditions and sights of the northernmost state in the US and will be produced by reality TV guru Mark Burnett, whose previous successes included Survivor and The Apprentice.
Despite her abrupt resignation from the Alaskan governorship last year Palin, 46, remains a darling of the US conservative movement and has indicated that she might run for US president in the 2012 elections. Her memoir, Going Rogue, was a runaway bestseller and she is currently a political analyst on the right wing Fox News channel.
