New York/Los Angeles - Hollywood actor Jeremy London was kidnapped at gunpoint last week as he stopped to change a tire, People magazine reported Friday.
The star of 'Party of Five' and '7th heaven' was approached by several men who offered to help him change his tire in Palm Springs, east of Los Angeles.
London then offered to give them a lift home but found himself threatened with a gun and forced to drive around for hours, buy alcohol for the kidnappers and take drugs.
'After the tire was changed, (London) offered the men a ride home,' a police statement read. 'A short time later, he was held at gunpoint in the vehicle by one of the occupants. The gunman forced London to drive to various locations throughout the city, purchase alcohol and use illicit drugs.'
After 12 hours he was able to escape. The car was later found abandoned.
One of the suspected kidnappers, Brandon Adams, has also been arrested, according to reports. He has previous convictions for several offences including armed robbery.
