Vice President Biden forced into jury duty
Jan 24, 2011, 18:21 GMT
Washington - Being vice president is no excuse: Joe Biden was forced like any other US citizen to report for jury duty Monday morning in his home state of Delaware, his office said in a statement.
Biden reported for jury selection at the Superior Court of Delaware in Wilmington. He was dismissed by noon without being assigned a court case, according to the Delaware News Journal.
'I don't consider myself different than any other person,' Biden told the newspaper. 'It is an honour to be a part of the system. I hope the president (Barack Obama) serves in Chicago if he is called.'
