Report: Bullet hits White House, suspect on loose
Nov 16, 2011, 16:32 GMT
Washington - A bullet from a shooting incident near the White House last week may have hit the president's residence, ABC News reported Tuesday.
A bullet was found in a White House window, the Secret Service told the broadcaster, and authorities are investigating whether it may be linked to an incident nearby last week.
Police are searching for a mentally ill man, Oscar Ramiro Ortega, whose car was found Friday with a rifle and empty shell casings inside. The man had a fixation with the White House, the report said.
Police had received calls of shots fired a few blocks away on Friday, but there had previously been no clear link to the White House itself.
