New York/Washington - Pop singer Beyonce Knowles and newborn daughter Blue Ivy Carter were ensconced Sunday in an entire wing of a New York Hospital, where parents of other babies were barred from seeing their premature infants.
The New York Daily News reported that parents Beyonce and Jay-Z had paid Lennox Hill hospital 1.3 million dollars to seal off and redecorate a wing of the Upper East Side hospital.
Their baby Blue Ivy Carter arrived Saturday night, the newspaper reported.
New father Neil Coulon of Brooklyn told the News that he had been barred several times by Beyonce's security guards from visiting the neonatal intensive care unit, where his premature and underweight twin girls were being cared for.
'My wife is just terribly upset. She had a C-section. She gave birth to twins. She is sore. Nobody needs this,' Coulon was quoted as saying.
