Snoop Dogg busted for marijuana possession

Los Angeles - Rapper Snoop Dogg has been busted for marijuana possession after border patrol guards found three jars of cannabis on his tour bus in Texas, CNN reported Monday.
Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, 'freely admitted' that the marijuana was his, according to the Hudspeth County Sherriff, and was cited for possession and released pending a court date on January 20.
Snoop Dogg, 40, is an outspoken proponent of legalizing marijuana and has a license to use medical marijuana in his home state of California.
His arrest occurred Sunday on the same stretch of road where country singer Willie Nelson was arrested for marijuana use last year, the report said. Nelson settled charges related to that arrest with a 500-dollar fine and a plea deal on the possession of drug paraphernalia.
