Michael Jackson's kids join Hollywood tribute to late King of Pop
Jan 26, 2012, 21:35 GMT
Los Angeles - Michael Jackson's three children immortalized their father Thursday in front of Hollywood's legendary Graumann's Chinese Theater, sinking an imprint of the singer's sequined glove and dancing shoes into wet cement on the famous Hollywood Boulevard.
Prince (14), Paris (13) and Blanket (9) were joined in the tribute to the former King of Pop by artists such as Justin Bieber, Quincy Jones and Smokey Robinson.
The site of the ceremony is a central tourist attraction on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where other superstars such as Cary Grant, Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable are also recognized.
The ceremony was timed to coincide with the opening of the Michael Jackson-based Cirque Du Soleil show Immortal at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Jackson died June 25, 2009, at age 50, from an overdose of the anesthetic propofol. In November, his personal physician, Dr Conrad Murray, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in his death and sentenced to four years in prison.
