Jan 31, 2012, 13:02 GMT
Washington - Republicans in the US state of Florida started going to the polls Tuesday to pick between the two frontrunners for the presidential nomination, Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich.
After a brief blip, Romney appears to be the favourite again, with a 12.5-per-cent lead in some polls in the Sunshine State.
Polling stations will close at 0000 GMT Wednesday. According to the Tampa Bay Times, up to a third of the 2 million eligible voters have already cast absentee ballots.
Rival candidates Rick Santorum and Ron Paul are still in the race, but trailing badly.
