Feb 13, 2012, 16:37 GMT
Washington - President Barack Obama on Monday called for the United States to make 'tough choices' as he outlined a 3.8-trillion-dollar budget proposal.
'At a time when our economy is growing and creating jobs at a faster clip we have to do everything we can to keep our economy on track,' Obama told students at Northern Virginia Community College outside Washington, as he pitched plans that include additional spending on education.
'We have to make some tough choices to put this country on a more sustainable path,' he said of the budget that includes tax increases on the wealthy and spending cuts in defence, health care, space exploration and other areas.
