Whitney Houston music sales soar after death
Feb 13, 2012, 19:33 GMT
Los Angeles - Whitney Houston was back on top of the US charts Monday, two days after she died at age 48 in the bathtub of a Beverly Hills hotel room.
Her signature song I Will Always Love You was the top selling single on Apple's iTunes store, despite a strong challenge from Grammy-winning Adele. Other Houston songs appearing in the iTunes top 20 were I Wanna Dance with Somebody, Greatest Love of All, One Moment in Time and How Will I Know.
Houston's albums also jostled with Adele's 21 to top the iTunes album sales, with her greatest hits collection swapping the number one spot with Adele's 21. Her 1985 self-titled debut album and the soundtrack for her hit 1992 film The Bodyguard also featured in the iTunes Top 20 albums.
